We are proud to continue a history of nearly 50 years of manufacturing quality joinery from this site. We also have a showroom at the Home Ideas Centre in Christchurch
Our in-house designers each work varying hours and are also often out meeting clients on-site. You are welcome to pop into the showroom for a browse and a coffee but an appointment is recommended to ensure a designer is on hand to meet with you to better understand your needs and discuss options to suit your exact situation. Our showroom has plenty of parking and displays the latest materials and accessories that we recommend.
As part of our commitment to quality, Finesse Joinery is a member of the Master Joiners Association and employs qualified and experienced joiners, ensuring you benefit from the best of craftsmanship.
We are also a member of the National Kitchen and Bathroom Association helping our designers to keep up-to-date with the latest in kitchen ideas.

GOING WITH THE GRAIN
It was time to update the kitchen, to coincide with long awaited earthquake repairs.
This kitchen space, in a home originally built in the 1970’s with some alterations done over the years; swims in natural light with skylight windows and high ceiling, looking into a spacious dining area with a lower timber panelled ceiling.
This couple love to entertain and share their home with friends and family – one an artist and sculptor; so provision was made in the design for displaying her artwork. The kitchen needed to be suitable for 2 users at a time.
A shorter but deeper peninsula, from the previous footprint; keeps plenty of breakfast bar space and allows for extra underbench storage.
New tall cabinetry on the side wall has multiplied pantry storage space, allowed for more open shelving and provides a working area behind tall doors to house appliances that had previously been stored in another part of the home.
An existing circuit board hides behind doors to the right of the extractor cabinet, between the 2 floating shelves. The existing microwave recess in the exterior wall worked well and so was relined with new cabinetry in the same layout as before.
Warm grains and texture are accentuated with a crisp white board, to work together with new ‘Spotted Gum’ laminate flooring and existing timber linings. A scandanavian style colour scheme that fits in well with the age and style of home, one full of light, space & art.

- Benchtops in 30mm Silestone 'White Storm 14'
- Cabinetry finishes - Melteca 'Malibu' satin finish + Prime 'Simply Eucalyptus'
- Timberland finish Handles - Elite 'Apollo' anodised extrusion + Archant 'Hide' flush handles Sink
- IKON Sink Station - Small IK8550
